Women Entrepreneurship Training Program

Summary

A five-day, 15-session entrepreneurship program in Islamabad for female graduates from Jahanian, district Khanewal, and students from SOS Village Islamabad, delivered with Taaleem Foundation, Career Launchpad and Rehmat Foundation.

Challenge

Female literacy in Pakistan sits at 51.8% with only 25% of women in the workforce. The participants, graduates from remote villages in Khanewal, faced limited exposure to opportunity, low confidence, familial resistance to employment, and socio-cultural limits on mobility, and needed marketable skills they could use from home.

Intervention

Five themed days of intensive training with industry guest speakers from Islamabad. Day 1: educational leadership and professional development. Day 2: selling, communication and overcoming barriers. Day 3: technology and financial literacy. Day 4: career advancement and digital business. Day 5: community building and marketing strategies. Speakers included Zunaira Ali, Saqib Mehmood Abbasi, Humaira Latif, Ali Ibrahim, Wajeeha Tahir, Sumayya Amra, Fizzah Haroon, Sarmad Bilal, Dr. Ahmed Qureshi, Hira Irshad and Kashaf Akhtar.

Outcome

Participants left with practical skills in e-commerce, freelancing, selling, communication and financial literacy, a network of industry mentors, and a realistic route to home-based, flexible income. Certificates were awarded at the close of the week.
